IHS Research report shows that the global
PV inverter buyers, is the fastest growing storage needs. Although the
technology is still relatively immature, but IMS Research for the global PV
inverter four hundred customer survey showed that nearly a third of respondents
expect that by 2015, over 40% of the solar energy system installed to enable
them energy storage technology.
More than 60 percent of respondents said
the system price includes energy storage technology to improve 10-29% is
"acceptable", although nearly a third of respondents said they are
ready to pay a higher premium. IHS Power and Energy Research Manager Sam
Wilkinson (Sam Wilkinson), said: "For photovoltaic systems, energy storage
is becoming more and more important, if the supplier can deliver the product in
line with industry expectations, photovoltaic energy storage market can
remarkable development over the next two years. "
The survey also asked customers about their
using micro photovoltaic inverter display relatively high price of this technology to
become a widespread disorder. But the survey also revealed that in 2012
compared to 2011, compared to enable micro-inverter proportion of customers has
increased by ten percentage points. Respondents stressed that they have the
ability to fight the effects of occlusion, additional design flexibility using
micro inverters become the most common cause.
Wilkinson said: "Due to the advantages
and features they provide, micro inverters are becoming more widely accepted,
but the price to make a major disadvantage, the majority of respondents
micro-inverter is not currently represented purchases For them, the need to
reduce the price by more than 50% before considering they enable. "
